Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Even Google got in on the act. I think the fun ways they change their name on their search page is part of their charm. If you want to see more of the fun things they've done through the years, click here.

My boys told me their school had green eggs and ham for lunch today. (Sorry, but I don't think I could eat green eggs and ham from the school cafeteria.)

They had a birthday party at the library, complete with the most amazing cake I've ever seen. It was about 8 layers, complete with the Cat in the Hat's hat on top. All the kids got those hats to wear and they had someone in to do airbrush face-painting (dries instantly). And we watched The Lorax, and something I never heard of called Pontoffel Pock, Where Are You?

How cool the library had a party. The cake sounds great. I haven't seen airbrush face-painting.

oh man, I missed google's doodle for Seuss? I'm so glad you caught it. I think their drawings are so wonderful.

I'm going back to the creative post, but think.. the Indians have always believed that the act of living should be an act of creating. I completely agree.

Terri, thanks for letting me know about the Hungry Caterpillar one. Very cute!

Motherpie, I do think their is something very spiritual, and very healing about creating. To live a life as an act of creation - wow, that is a beautiful thought.
